Permaban AlphaJoint CSS joint with top profiles from stainless steel

Permaban AlphaJoint CSS expansion joint is designed for indoor applications, for small, medium and high loads when pouring concrete industrial floors. It is used for 140 - 330mm thick floors. The upper C-profiles are made of stainless steel, this is the part that is visible after concreting and it is resistant to chemicals. Perfect for applications in the food and pharmaceutical industries. It also acts as a work break, allowing concreting at a convenient place and time. Ensure load transfer between adjacent concrete slabs with plate dowels. Delivered in 3-meter sections.

The upper profiles so. CSS are made from stainless steel (C-profiles from Stainless Steel) making them resistant to various chemicals. They eliminate the risk of corrosion despite floor contact with moisture or chemicals, and can be used where stringent cleaning conditions prevail. The upper stainless steel profiles give the joints an aesthetic appearance and above all limit their corrosion damage over the years of their use. They are ideal for retail outlets and food and medicine production plants where hygiene is paramount, as well as for door protection - for example at loading docks.

Designed mainly for concrete jointless floors, as they also act as a workingbreak and leave-in-pleace formwork, but can also be used in cut concrete floors without any problem.

The upper, stainless steel c-profiles 10mm wide, protect the edges floor panels before crumbling, because they are exposed to the impact of forklift wheels passing through the open expansion joint.

The separating plate widened at the top and bottom, and its perforation, provide additional anchoring in concrete, next to the shear studs, which increases the strength and rigidity of expansion joints, and limits "torsion" of profiles.

TD plate dowels ensure the transfer of loads between the planked plates, enabling the horizontal movement of concrete plates, while preventing any vertical movement of these plates relative to each other at the expansion joint.

Expansion joint profiles are available with one of three types of plate dowels which transfer loads between adjacent concrete slabs: TD6 6 mm thick, TD8 8 mm thick or TD10 10 mm thick. Plate dowels have the same shape and only differ in thickness.

The upper "C" profiles are connected by peel rivets (frangible fixing system), which break during concrete contraction, allowing expansion joints to open and compensate for this shrinkage. Shear studs ensure steel elements anchoring on each side of the joint. After rivets breaking, in one concrete slab stays: the upper "C" profile reinforcing the slab edge, sheet steel formwork and plate dowel. In the second concrete slab, the second upper "C" profile and the dowel sleave remain, from which the dowel has already slipped out as far as the slabs have moved apart compensating concrete shrinkage.

Even in extreme situations with a 30mm joint opening, TD plate dowels still transfer loads from one plate to another and prevent plate deadlock.

The length of one profile is 3m. Profiles can be cut anywhere.
