Polyethylene foam strip CONTACTFOAM for edge insulation
CONTACTFOAM polyethylene PE foam strips, also called insulation edge strip, are used to isolate solid building elements such as walls or columns from a concrete floor.
CONTACTFOAM Edging Strip is a close cell polyethylene foam, available in thicknesses of 5mm, 8mm and 10mm, in the form of stripes of different heights depending on the thickness of the floor being poured.
Polyethylene foams in the form of strips form so-called edge separation. Isolating the walls from the concrete floor is called insulation edge strip
Foam tapes are also used to secure columns, manholes and other solid elements in the concrete slab.
Separation from concrete prevents the appearance of the smallest stresses caused by jamming of concrete during its shrinkage at solid elements leading to concrete cracks.

Our polyethylene foams have the following technical parameters:
Foam densityi: 28 kg/m3
Tensile strength: ≥ 200 kPa
Relative elongation at break: ≥ 75%
Temperature resistance: – 20 / + 50°C
Ignition temperature: 460°C
Short-term compressibility:≤ 2mm
Water absorption, after prolonged total immersion: ≤ 3%
The producer received the National Technical Assessment for CONTACTFOAM foams in September 2019 and on the basis of it issues the National Declaration of Performance.
