The Permaban Eclipse expansion joint structure consists of two 2 mm thick galvanized steel sheets which are divider plates. Both divider plates are folded at the whole length, bottom and top, and the folds are perforated to provides reliable anchoring of sheets in concrete, increases strength and rigidity of expansion joints by limiting their "twisting".
The high-tensile steel squar section bar reinforce the top edge of the joint, giving extra support where vehicle wheels impact – so the joint can withstand heavy and persistent traffic. This additional reinforcement of the inner edges of the joint provides additional reinforcement in place most vulnerable to vehicle wheels. Thanks to solid reinforcement joint works well in heavy traffic.
