Polyurethane sealant TYTAN INDUSTRY PU40 for joint filling

Tytan Industry PU40 is a high-modulus, flexible, one-component construction eealant used for filling joints in concrete floors. This special sealant hardens under the influence of moisture in the air. It is applied using guns intended for this purpose.

TYTAN INDUSTRY PU 40 is characterized by very good adhesion to all typical surfaces used in construction (steel, aluminum, stainless steel, concrete, PVC foil, wood, varnished sheet, polyester, glass, PVC, etc.), permanent elasticity after hardening, high strength , paintability, resistance to weather conditions, humidity, vibrations, numerous cleaning agents and solvents. According to the chemical resistance test report, the mass is resistant to sea, calcareous and swimming pool water as well as to cleaning agents based on a saturated oxalic acid solution and sodium hydroxide solution.

TYTAN INDUSTRY PU 40 is used, among others for sealing (filling) expansion joints and work joints in industrial buildings, in concrete slabs loaded with pedestrian and circular traffic. The sealant can be used in any climate in conditions of constant contact with water.

Before applying the sealing compound, the manufacturer recommends using a primer that increases the adhesion of the compound to the substrate TYTAN INDUSTRY PU Primer RS

Cut and construction expansion joints can be filled using TYTAN INDUSTRY PU 40 with both a manual and a pneumatic squeezer.

DEPTH AND WIDTH of the FILLING

The ideal ratio: WIDTH: DEPTH is:
– in the case of joint gap narrower than 10mm: 1:1
– for a joint gap wider than 10mm: 2: 1

For deep gaps it is recommended to use baker rod made of closed-cell polyethylene as a support.

The mass has a manufacturer's recommendation for applications in the case of wide joints - up to 35mm.
