AlphaJoint Classic 4040 joints are designed mainly for concrete jointless floors, because they also act as a working break and as a leave-in-lace formwork, but they can be also easily used in cut concrete floors.

Permaban ALPHAJOINT CLASSIC 4010 joint
AlphaJoint® Classic 4010 expansion profiles from PERMABAN as a precursor are certainly the most well-known expansion joints on the industrial floor market, distinguished above all by high quality and reliability. Intended for indoor applications, for floors exposed to high loads. They ensure free horizontal movement of adjacent concrete slabs and prevent any vertical movement of these slabs, also protecting their edges. The expansion joint also acts as a formwork, allowing concreting at a convenient time. Ensure load transfer between adjacent concrete slabs with plate dowels. Available in heights from 75 to 225 mm.
Massive cold drawn, square edge steel profile 4010 - 10mm wide and 40mm high, so-called. "4010" protects the edges of jointed floor slabs from crumbling because they are exposed to the impact of passing forklift wheels through the expansion joint openend.
TD plate dowels ensure the transfer of loads between floor plates, enabling the horizontal movement of concrete plates, while preventing any vertical movement of these plates relative to each other at the expansion joint. Expansion joints are available with one of three types of load-bearing plate dowels: TD6 6 mm thick, TD8 8 mm thick or TD10 10 mm thick. These dowels are of the same shape and differ only in thickness.
The profiles are connected with peel rivets (frangible fixing system), which break during concrete contraction, allowing expansion joints to open and compensate for this shrinkage. Shear studs ensure steel elements anchoring on each side of the joint. After rivets breaking, in one concrete slab stays: the upper square edge steel bar, sheet steel formwork and plate dowel. In the second concrete slab stays the second upper square edge steel bar and the dowel sleave from which the dowel has already slipped out as far as the slabs have moved apart compensating concrete shrinkage.Even in extreme situations with a 30mm joint opening, TD plate dowels still transfer loads from one plate to another and prevent plate deadlock.
The length of one profile is 3m. Profiles can be cut anywhere.
AlphaJoint Classic 4010 expansion joints are in standard made of natural steel, but you can also order profiles in the version with galvanized square edge upper bars 4010.
Profiles are available in heights from 75 mm to 225 mm.
Higher profiles for higher floors are characterized by a reinforced separating plate ->AlphaJoint 4010 >>.
Available AlphaJoint Classic 4010 profile heights:
NAME | height of joints | floor height [mm] |
AlphaJoint Classic 4010 75 | 75 | 90 - 100 |
AlphaJoint Classic 4010 100 | 100 | 110 - 130 |
AlphaJoint Classic 4010 125 | 125 | 140 - 150 |
AlphaJoint Classic 4010 150 | 150 | 160 - 180 |
AlphaJoint Classic 4010 160 | 160 | 170 - 190 |
AlphaJoint Classic 4010 175 | 175 | 190 - 200 |
AlphaJoint Classic 4010 200 | 200 | 210 - 230 |
AlphaJoint Classic 4010 225 | 225 | 240 - 250 |
Each of the above profiles are available with load transfer TD plate dowels. There are three dowel thicknesses to choose from: TD6 - 6mm TD8 - 8mm to TD10 - 10mm thick.
Higher profiles for higher floors are characterized by a reinforced separating plate -> AlphaJoint 4010.
INSTALLATION:
- the easiest way to install profiles traditionally using
rods (ribbed bar) driven into the ground, which should be welded to the leveled profile
- subsequent elements are joined, overlapping the ends
- after concreting one side, it is recommended to cut the rods just above the ground on the other side
Prefabricated connectors are available, but their use is not necessary.
