COSINUS SLIDE® expansion joints provide load transfer between dilatated concrete slabs through the floor itself, without the outdated dowel system.
This is because every SINUS wave on top is supported by a second sinus wave underneath it (COSINUS)
Such a SINUS-COSINUS geometric pattern shapes vertical concrete columns. Loads are transferred simultaneously and proportionally through the center and through the floor surface thanks to these columns. The upper SINUS profile and the lower COSINUS profile are separated from each other by a steel overflow barrier, placed between them, allowing horizontal movement of the plates.
