Why is a wide expansion gap a disadvantage?

Hard trolley wheels when passing through the open connector fall into the open expansion gap causing HARD IMPACT and SHOCK.

IMPACT and SHOCK damages the concrete floor, expansion joints, forklift wheels, transported goods and can even cause injury to the operators of these forklifts.

Filling the gap with sealing compound is not a solution to the problems, Sealant mass are soft, wheels are hard and trucks are heavy.
